Jesus came to earth to bring the greatest healing, love and grace ever experienced by the human race. He came to teach us how to turn our lives around individually and collectively from a path of conflict, despair and self destruction to a path of reconciliation, restoration and joy.  In his own words he said:

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, and to preach the acceptable year of the Lord."  Luke 4:18

"These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full." 

What you just read above is the present day reality of Christ because Jesus' words are everlasting.  Let's read about this in Luke 21:33:

"Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away." 

Since heaven and earth are still here, you can you can believe that His words are true for today.
